We didn't start with a product roadmap. We started with two established and growing grant consulting firms who were drowning in spreadsheets, juggling dozens of clients, and losing hours every week to work that software should have handled years ago.
We asked them to show us everything — how they research funders, how they build funding strategies, how they manage pipelines, how they write narratives, how they track time, how they onboard clients. Then we built it. Piece by piece. Feature by feature. With them testing every iteration before we moved to the next.
That process took months. It meant rebuilding things that weren't right. It meant adding workflows we hadn't planned for because the real work demanded them. It meant the platform was shaped by people who actually do this job — not by a product team guessing from the outside.
